For Lyn's fun TLC challenge this week, which you can find HERE.
This is a bit of a hodgepodge, I did want to try the challenge but I also wanted to end up with a card for my brother's birthday. I think the background might be a bit too bright for the robot, but it looks better IRL. Sponged the background and used the number stencil. When dry (took a while), edged the panel with a black Sharpie. I used a chevron border for the the robot to stand on. He's cut mostly from watercolour paper and coloured with Twinkling H2Os, but there are some glitter card parts and the light bulb is plain yellow card. I tried layering some vellum over it, but I think the vellum I tried was too thick, and I was running out of time. Tried to think of the best way to add a sentiment and remembered this set of dies, so I threaded the tag onto the robot's arm.

Oh I don't think the bg detracts at all - your robot with the exception of the coiled wire between his eyes is quite sturdy so can hold his own both with the colors and the eclectic "computer code" in the bg.

Fun masculine card. Love that the robot's head is a light bulb. Too funny. Great bg. I think it works wonderfully well with your robotic man. Happy Birthday to your brother.

Perfect with the numbers and tag for a robot!
Vellum is an great idea for a frosted bulb! too bad it didnt work this time but I bet it would for a white bulb. I am storing that one in my pins to try it! I get so much inspiration from you!
