This card is for one of the Wednesday watercolour challenges. I am learning lots through these challenges. Check them out.
This came together quickly. I plonked tissue paper...3 pieces onto different colour combos on my mat after spritzing with water. Let the tissue paper dry naturally. The colours weren't so vibrant once dried but pretty.
I decided I would die cut them all rather than plonking them straight onto my card which I've done before. First tip...tissue paper sticks to the BG plate and i had to carefully peel them off with my TH pokey tool. One was torn but it's now covered up.
I then read a tip online where someone recommended that a piece of CS is put behind the tissue paper when die cutting, so I did. The middle flower is now the effect. What my BS did, was actually seal the tissue paper onto my gelli plate print so well that the two are bonded for life lol. It now doesn't look like tissue paper but it is.
I couldn't decide what to do with them so embossed my BG and then plonked them on top...oops I carefully layered them lol. I used my tombow glue and you can see the blobs. When I've used tissue paper before I've used gel medium or clear gesso...why didn't I do the same this time...mmmm...let us say that my mojo has flown the coop recently and took part of my brain with it lol. I also found some blobs on my EF...this glue normally dries clear so not sure what I did but thank goodness for bling.
I left this card for a few days and was going to dump it but then thought maybe if I add wink of Stella on my flowers that will cover the blobs...nope that didn't work either so it is what it is.
I will try this again one day as I like a challenge.
TFL. Happy day

These turned out beautifully! Plonking . . .I mean carefully layering them over the blue embossed bg has a lovely natural feel.
Another hint - especially with finely detailed dies is to put a layer of waxed paper between the die and your paper. The cut piece will release much more easily. I usually leave it on through the gluing process (protects the front side from getting random glue stains) Once the piece is adhered to my card base I peel off the waxed paper and voila . . pristine die cut!

VERY PRETTY!!! Those delicate dies are GORGEOUS! I CAN TELL the middle flower is tissue paper! It's just smoother than the others! BEAUTIFULLY DONE! ;)<3

Very pretty butterflies and that tear is nowhere to be seen. I see the wonderful crinkles in your tissue just as I should. I can imagine those butterflies are really delicate and were hard to get on the cardstock. But, you stayed with it and I am so glad you did. I hope the recipient appreciates the work you did to create your card.

This is lovely, Jayne! I'm amazed you were able to die cut these wonderful flowers with just the tissue paper, wow! And I can tell that the middle flower is tissue paper as well. Beautiful die cut and lovely card. So glad you finished it and posted it!
