This is the 12th hand-stitched card that I have uploaded of approximately 50 that I made in an 18-month period, and 44 of those were given as a set to my Mom, who is a master cross-stitcher. I have listed the background details in the description of other uploaded cards for further information. In brief, I had been looking for years to find a way to incorporate hand-stitching onto my cards so that I could make some specialized cards for my Mom that she could send especially to her friends who also cross-stitch, but I had not found anything remotely suitable, until I watched a great YouTube tutorial by Jennifer McGuire, who was introducing a new hand-stitching die by Paper Smooches, as well as an introduction to basic stitching on cardstock.
I made my Mom's 80th birthday card, which was my first hand-stitched card, then a little over a year later, I presented my Mom with the set of 44 hand-stitched cards with a variety of sentiments and in A2 and 5 by 7 sizes. The Paper Smooches die is what I started with, and that is the size of this card.
All of the patterns that I have uploaded and color combinations have been my own. I have made 2 hand-stitched pieces that I made into cards that I copied the patterns, if I upload those, I will acknowledge my source.
I used all pinks on this one including some variegated pink yarn. The silver mirror foil cardstock is a nightmare to try and photograph, but it's very pretty in person. This wasn't one of my first hand-stitched pieces, but I stitched this fairly early, and I made a decision to use all of the hand-stitched pieces on cards, so there are always some flaws, but I continue to learn and to improve, hopefully.
I like the cross - stitched hearts embossing folder, it's too small to use on the larger Altenew die-cut, but it works well on this sized hand-stitched pieces.
Thank you so much for stopping by to take a closer look at my card. When you take the time and trouble to leave a comment, it's a giant boost and a great encouragement, thank you!!!

This is fabulous, Joanne! I admire your stitching so much. I used to do cross stitch, but I've had some aggravating eye problems which make it hard to see such small things at night. Yours looks amazing.
