Hello, I have TWO new postings for Dia de los Muertos! For the â20 version(s) I used two smaller sizes, available from my friend on eBay. Dia de los Muertos is a Celebration; honoring the lives we miss and to celebrate our own gift of life. !!!
I bought the stamps on eBay, search Sugar Skull or eBay seller name: stampmill_rubberstamps88, for the red rubber Sugar Skull stamp image(s). She makes them in several sizes! And full disclosure she is a good friend of mine who lives in Tucson, AZ and mfg's desert and Southwest creature images, mostly.
I really enjoyed using the two smaller sizes of this image this year, to be able to send a very different version of this image/card or gift bag front, to my friends in 2020. I found many friends who wanted one of these cards, when I mentioned I was adding Dia de los Muertos cards to my fall collection, last year. : ) It was nice to know so many friends wanted one and they responded with âwowâsâ over the Sugared cards I made. See my gallery for those fun projects. They have their own Album at the top of my gallery. : ) TFL~!
This Sugar Skull image is colored with a variety of S U marker (Pineapple Punch, Grapefruit Grove, Bashful Blue, Lemon Lime Twist), layered on S U Pineapple Punch/Grapefruit Grove/Basic Black papers cut with POSTAGE die set from SSS and the S U Stitched Rectangle set and then mounted on S U Whisper White card base.
I added a little White Chalk Marker in stripes and dots to the black outline of the skull image.
I used the 2 smallest flower dies from the S U Succulents die set to layer into a 'marigold' loosely imagined flower. Marigolds are the main flower of the Dia de los Muertos celebration. I used Pineapple Punch paper and sponged S U Pumpkin Pie ink on edges. Adding a Ranger Liquid Pearls in the center â Sunflower color.
Added Stickles Star Dust to the eyeballs and teeth. OOOOhhhh fun : )
I made a few of these with high raised flowers for hand delivering to my friends, but flatter version on the ones I mail by U.S. mail. They know to âfluffâ my embellies when they arrive. : )
Hope you all enjoy your fall holiday fun of making wonderful 'gifts' for our friends and family.
stay well and have some SAFE DISTANCE backyard fun this fall. Hugs and TFL! Teresa
