Hello and TFL!
MMJxx (02) This is a project for the Mixed Media Video Addicts June/July project. THANKS to Jayne (Ozpom) who picked the Videos for this month and Nancy (nwilliams6) who let me know about it. Others (Sharon, Gracie, Jan) have now joined in our monthly challenge. It can be a card, tag, journal page, anything.
want to play along?
I am fairly new to Mixed Media, but am enjoying the freedom of layering!
I started with the stencil and got blobs, but was first try of watercoloring into a stencil hole, so ... accepted it.
Stamped CAMILLE doll on used Tea Bag paper that i flattened out into full piece and then cut in half to stamp her upper head/torso separate from her legs. lol She was in pieces, literally. i backed the tea bag paper with some tan dsp.
Wanted vintage look for dress so added distress sanded paper, roughed the edges with scissors, and stroked some Parchment acrylic paint onto 'apron.
stamped the Finnabair flower/leaf stamp for skirt on blank dictionary page and then tucked leftover part of page behind her skirt/legs. Dauber Powder Pink over flower, and some light celery on the leaf section.
stamped the Finnabair stamp again on Naturals Ivory in Basic Gray and fussy cut out to use as ephemera.
Stamped and embossed the S U FRIENDSHIP sentiment onto the Typeset paper strip.
tore some old stash vintage papers and tucked in above head and along bottom and added the pretty ephemera butterfly.
ENJOY and stay well! Teresa

Wow, wow, wow all of your creations look fabulous Teresa. I love the mixed media elements you have added to make these dolls look so unique. I used a Julie Nutting doll for my Teapot Tuesday card this week - they are fun to create with hey. Stay safe.

What a terrific idea to stamp and color the girl on the paper and then tear the paper to use in your project! I would never have thought of doing that!
