Sparkly Pink Hand-stitched Thanks close-up

Poster: 905lovestostamp

As stated, these hand-stitched cards were created after a year's-long search to find a way to in or hand-stitching onto cards to create a card set as a gift for my Mom, who is a master cross-stitcher. When I watched a YouTube by the wonderful artist, Jennifer McGuire, who introduced me to the Paper Smooches Hand-stitching die plus she gave an introductory tutorial on hand-stitching onto cardstock, I was excited, hoping that I had found an answer, and I started Hand-stitching. Originally, I was planning to create approximately 12 hand-stitched cards, but in the 18 months I created approximately 50 hand-stitched cards, and I gave my Mom a, set of approximately 44 cards, and most of the others were given as gifts and sent to friend, and I previously uploaded here on my gallery some of those already, including my Mom's 80th (the first of my hand-stitched cards uploaded), an 80th birthday card for a very dear friend, and a birthday card for my sister. More information may be found in the description of the entire card, and on other hand-stitched card descriptions.

All of the patterns that I have uploaded and color combinations have been my own. I have made 2 hand-stitched pieces that I made into cards that I copied the patterns, if I upload those, I will acknowledge my source.

This is a close-up view of the 9th card of 50, so as to see the stitching in more detail. This is one of the earlier stitching pieces that I created, and it was my decision to use all of the hand-stitched pieces that I created. I used some sparkly pink sequins attached with a knot. I really liked these, but I did not end up using many sequins on these, and would like to use them in subsequent hand-stitched pieces. Right now, I am working on some hand-stitched cards to send out myself to family and friends, although I have let my Mom know that I am very willing to make more of these with the same or different sentiments depending on what she would like to send out.

Thank you so much for taking a look at this view of my hand-stitched card. When you take the time and the trouble to leave a comment, please know that you have made my day, and I so appreciate your encouragement.

Have a very blessed day, and be safe and stay healthy.

This is fabulous, Joanne! I love stitching on cards & this is beautiful. And I agree, I would love to find more ways to incorporate fabric, stitching, etc on cards. The last I did was some tiny knitted sweaters on baby cards.

p.s. thank you so much for your lovely comment on my Peony Group card.
