I've been playing in the Watercolor Wednesday challenges this weekend. This is my entry for the no line watercolor challenge.
I know people usually put the darker color at the base of the petals but I was painting this rose like a wonderful rose bush that I had at our previous home. The rose is called Double Delight and our bush produced roses that looked like this one. This was fun to do, I started it last night and came back to it this afternoon.
After spending all that time on the rose, I decided to do the leaves the easy way and layer stamp them. I fussy cut the rose and the leaves and adhered together. Then what to do behind this rose? I did a light stenciled background and this embossed one and the embossed panel won.
I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed it for some shine and texture as well. The rose is popped up on the dimensionals.
Thank you for the challenge!

Super work on the no line stamping. I love your beautiful rose and the embossed one is gorgeous, too. So glad you played in my challenge and hope you can play along every week.
