The MIX challenge this week is found objects. The base of my journal pages has some old hymnal pages I had torn for other projects, I painted up some Amazon box cardboard, I stamped some sort of circles using a loo roll tube (learning new words), and I used music die cuts that Lisa (Shoe Girl) sent me in a Tickle. I also found these fun pictures on Facebook - lol - my daughters posted watermelon eating pictures this week and I snagged them. You can't really see Lewis on the far right due to the light but this is the best picture I could get.
The IC challenge this week is Eye on Design and this was my inspiration:
That bath mat is sooo cute. When I started this page, my base was more pink like this bath mat but when I laid out the pictures, I realized the watermelon in them was much darker. Several blendings later I got a color I could live with. Stenciled on my seeds. My cardboard is painted white with green stripes to mimic rind.
Fun stuff.

How sweet are these pages! I love the red bg complete with seeds! The musical die cuts are perfect bg for the letters and the best part of this are the smiles on those little darlings! Super cute Nancy! Oh and the cardboard framing is awesome!

this is so cool I love that you used the cardboard for matting and the colors of your fruit look so yummy too. I think that is so fun that she shot this slice of life to share with you all.

I loved that bathmat you chose! It just screams happy, as do your fun pages! Watermelon just makes everything more happy! Really creative use of the found elements too!
I Love that bath mat, if I had not recently made a pink watermelon card I would have gone there! Your pages are so sweet, literally! Super cute and happy pages to keep you smiling!
