Polly's MIX challenge today is "Found Art"--my favorite type of challenge! I went looking through my treasure box and decided to finally use my international postage stamps that I save off of all my SCS mail. Now I have to restart my collection. I also for some reason get a lot of one cent stamps in my junk mail, so I used those as fillers. I just glued them all down, collage style and then stamped over it with the SU French Script stamp (inked up randomly so it doesn't show up a whole lot). I certainly didn't want to cover this up and wanted to make this a thinking of you from afar kind of card, so I chose to try Lydia's Faux Heat Embossing technique because it looked cool and easy and it was both of those things. I used a piece of blue adhesive fun foam for it and I LOVE the look. I didn't feel like I had enough stuff on this card to make it mixed media, so I added some of the fabulous sequins that I just got from The Cat's Pajamas. Look at the fabulous color and iridescence of these things!

I love that these are all from your SCS mail...how colorful they all look. And the script stamping was the perfect compliment. That blue fun foam is such a fun and clever idea...I need to borrow that. GREAT card Jen!!

I love the art on stamps. Great way too make use of them. I still have some of those woodstock stamps issued in the US stamps last year. The art and colors used on it were so fabulous. Love your card
