This is for Jen's VSN Challenge for kids - Shake it up, Baby to use a no mess painting technique.
Jen's sons provided extra instructions: Raleigh said to use colored cardstock and Desmond asked us to use glitter.
No kids here but my mother-in-law is visiting and she is a kid at heart, so I asked her to shake it up. I provided a light pink piece of cardstock and she selected darker pink and purple paints. I don't have any dried beans, but I have plenty of plastic beads that we need to use up so I put some of those in a plastic jar. My MIL squeezed a few drops of each color in the jar and then she had fun shaking the jar. When I took the piece of cardstock out, I sprinkled on fine glitter while the paint was wet. It doesn't show in the picture, but the paint drops are very sparkly.
I asked her what type of card to make with the background and she said it looked like a Thinking of You card. I had fun stamping with a long-retired set wood mounted set that I haven't used in years; and I even got out my stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the 3 stamps for the butterfly.
Thanks for the challenge, Jen and special thanks to Raleigh and Desmond for the extra suggestions! Hope they like my card. Thanks for looking.

So glad you had a buddy to make this card with! What a great idea to sprinkle glitter on the wet paint! I bet it's just so fabulous sparkly IRL. I love that butterfly that you paired with your beautiful background! I think the style is just right. Thanks for joining in our challenge, Diane!
