I loved the challenge today and have a couple more ideas brewing after looking at Georges Braque's work. For this piece I was inspired by this figure of a woman which I also found very appropriate for our times as we think about race. As our family has been forced back into quarantine as my husband was exposed to someone with the virus, I took today to just do some art while I watched TV with DH. I went through several magazines and picked out images in similar sizes. I then sliced them and worked them back together. My bg is a 12x12" gel print. My two media for marking are Gelatos for the circles I added and white gel pen for the verse fragment from Galatians 3:28

Wow! This is fantastic. When I first saw the thumbprint, it looked futuristic and reminded me of Star Trek. After reading your thinking behind how and why you created the people, I love it even more. I wish real life was more like Star Trek which was way ahead of it's time in representing all races and cultures. And also, I hope your husband and you all are in good health!

FABULOUS!!!!!! This is so how God wants to view each other. WE all came from the same place and the same people! We were separated by our greed and selfishness and it separates us still. I LOVE THS. Great job! Hope everything works out. Craft a lot - it helps. Hugz
