This is my favourite Asian stamp and I really enjoy colouring this image.
Though you probably can't see it from the photo there is a bit of sparkle and gold water colour paint used. I guess sparkle is not really Japanese but I made up by using some of my precious Japanese paper.

Beautifully colored scene, Helen. I can tell you from my years of living in Japan that while glitter may be lacking from daily life, when it comes to special occasions - Weddings - New Year's festivals, anything requiring a formal trip to the local shrine etc - the glitz and glamor comes out with gold & silver embroidered Kimonos . . . .I have seen them priced upwards of $10,000 dollars + (American) in the top kimono stores where I lived!

This card is jaw dropping gorgeous! Your coloring is exquisite and I love it that everyone is breaking out their hard to part with beautiful Asian papers...I know someone is going to be the lucky recipient of this or your other card...can I cross my fingers...me, me ;)
