I love the Teapotter Challenges, both those that end up in sending cards to new friends I've never met and these where we tickle each other - but the latter really challenges me to up my game!! This card was quite a journey for me, which makes its title even more apropos...I started with a digital image of a teapot and tried multiple times to stamp the mountain and water with white embossing for the snow. It was just o.k. I played with a variety of BG's using Asian writing; again, just o.k. I made the mistake of looking at what had been uploaded to the gallery thus far and was humbled! Then I got the idea to cut the teapot out on black and stamp the image in white, clear and gold embossing. I used a stylus to scratch off some of the white to evoke the mountain under the snow. I clear embossed a bit of red cardstock before punching out a hole for the sun. The red stamp in the lower corner is actually my name, Faith - a perk of having a name that is also a common noun!

The black teapot was a good choice..it's simple in design yet creates a dramatic statement. I love how you did the mountains, scrapping off some of the ep. Sometimes it does take one or two tries to get a card you like...I do that all the time with different layouts or colors used. This is lovely Faith.

So perfect for this week's tea party, Faith, love the black teapot and the embossed mountain scene really looks fantastic, especially like the specks of snow at the foot of the snowy mountains! Wonderfully designed!

Faith, this is striking and I love everything about it! That red 'rising sun' adds such a fabulous pop of color hovering over those snow covered mountains and I love the black and gold reflections of those mountains. How fun that you have a chop of your name to sign your work!

This is such a great design idea- and I love the embossing for both the mountain and the water below. Awesome card- and love that you have a stamp for your name : )

Well, your efforts certainly paid off! Great idea to cut the teapot out, and the white embossing makes a fabulous snowy mountain. I think it's brilliant the way you scratched off some of the white.
