Karen is our hostess for this week's TLC (rubber band, elastic band stamping) which you can find HERE.
It was a very inspirational gallery, but I'm short on time and energy these days, so I just pulled out a pastel spectrum pad to make things easy, and then went with the lighthearted feel it gave. The little bird was a birthday gift still sitting on my desk waiting to be inked. I stamped him on a scrap of watercolour paper, and coloured his eyes and beak with pencils. Then I used microglaze over that to act as a resist. I brushed the rest with water and sprinkled several colours of Brusho on. When that was dry, I carefully wiped any remaining powder off the glazed parts (it worked pretty well), and used an SN clear glitter pen over his body, with Glossy Accents on the beak and red Enamel Accents on the little heart.
I fussy-cut him and popped him onto a border which had his feet stamped on it. The computer-generated sentiment used "Ink Free" font. Learning how to do a strikethrough in a different colour would have taken half my day off, so I just crossed the H out with a red pen after printing. I had to remember that the Fl should come before the crossed-out letter! Matted on some card left over from my easel yesterday, and that's it, folks. It's a bit better than it looks - it's been raining all morning here.

What a fun birdie and your background looks great, I can feel through your writing that it's not a good day today or not a good week...you must take a break!!

Cute! Cute! CUTE! Looks like this cuddly little guy accidently flew into someone's open window and landed in their set of watercolors, hopped out and scurried all over the paper next to it....embarrassed...and probably apologizing profusely just before he flew back out the window. Days are like that sometime.

I love your colorful and quirky bird! And I always enjoy a good pun. I appreciate your story behind trying to get the computer to strike-through the H. I like that you hand-drew through it! What a fun card!
