I am trying hard to learn to do watercolors better so I watched this great video this morning (I have today off):
She is super talented. I did two panels and messed them both up. Had to add paper dolls to cover my horrible accident while trying to add a white shadow to my boat on the card. Then I wanted to take some color off the water on the BAJ panel and messed up the water. Then I decided to water distress the whole thing and realized I used a SU! marker to draw my boat so it bled and I had to try and fix it. Oh well, it all worked out in the end - I can send the card now and the distressed panel is safely in my Bible inspiring me to not be a perfectionist (as if that is a problem - lol).
Made my water lines by stamping with twisted rubber bands on a card on wet paper. Then did a little wash around them. I will try that again.
Hugz!

Watercolor is an amazing medium but can be challenging. I am working on that myself so I appreciate the link. To my eye, your finished card is gorgeous. Great use of color and love the silhouettes. Keep going with the wc!

The final results are what counts and you did good! Read your comments and it sounded like a watercolor disaster day in my world. I think watercolors will never be my strong suit.

Love this, Nancy! I thought when I saw it might be for our next mixed Media Challenge, because you used the paper dolls which Jayne challenged us to do. This is just beautiful!

Well, your mistakes turned into blessings because both projects are sensational! I love how the rubber bands create such beautiful water! Wonderful projects!
