I had a hard time picking a song until I came across an old favourite that was released that season...The Beatles âHey, Judeâ. Paul wrote it for Johnâs son Julian because John had just gone through his divorce and was with Yoko Ono. Paul wanted to reassure Julian that things would not always be sad, it would get better. That resonated with me regarding our world health situation right now. The video Iâve linked shows everyone gathgering around to sing together. We have to do it distanced, but still it is human connection that helps us get through.
For the card, I smooshed a Misty Moonlight background. I found a suitable preprinted panel in my card pack. I printed a sentiment from our SU âShare Sunshineâ PDF file and cut it with a Tasteful Labelsdie, with a bit of ink on the edges. I placed two thin strips of DSP behind the raised sentiment.
So, âhey, Jude, take a sad thing and make it better....â

Vannie, thank you so much for sharing not only your gorgeous card but also the information (and video) of the song you chose. I love the sentiment on your card, too - so appropriate for today. Thanks for jamming with me in the Summer of '68 VSN Challenge!

Great card and a great song! I had a very hard time as well choosing a song. The one I wanted to use I just couldn't come up with anything that had to do with the song to put on a card. You tied your card into the son very well. We do all need to come together right now!
