Jeanette's VSN challenge had me searching the internet for songs from the summer of 1968. I found Born to be Wild. This really makes me think of motorcycles, but I don't have any motorcycle images, so I thought, summer of '68? Why not a love bug?
My little love bug has its' motor running and is heading out on the highway.
I sponged the hills and ground in with Garden Green and then stamped the trees with Shaded Spruce. I cut my highway using the Spellbinders curved borders die and then added a dotted white line down the center.
I stamped my love bug and colored it with Copics. I printed the sentiment and popped it up with foam.
Thanks for the challenge, Jeanette!

Catherine, oh yes! A great song and the Love Bug is perfect! I really like how it's heading down the road on its way to adventure! Thanks for jamming with me in the Summer of '68 VSN Challenge!

Had me thinking you chose "Hit the Road, Jack". But the VW is wild, sorta. Wish I had one way back then, but alas, I had a Pinto wagon with a "wayback" for three kids. I really am OLD! (OOPS! in 1968 I only had two.)

You chose the same song I chose for one of my cards. It is going through my head now! Thank you! Love how you have your car on the road. And it has flowers on it too! Love you love bug.

Oh man! I wanted to do Born to Be Wild and I DO have a motorcycle image. Why didn't I think of that! I love that you went with the VW bug, it was so iconic of that time period. Everyone wanted a bug when I was in high school. The love, peace sign and daisies take me right back to that time. Well done.
