I focused on Cathy's:
-repeating pattern
-rainbow of colours with white highlights
I changed:
-geometric pattern to floral
-stamped to die cut
-no black sentiment strip
I purchased this Spellbinders A2 Tulip Frame coverplate in the spring, and between slow postal delivery and other deadlines am now using it in the summer!
I simply cut the cover plate from white cardstock, coloured all the pieces with Copic markers and inlaid them back into the frame. It really is simple to do, but it does take some time.
My no-blend colouring style was inspired by Yana, who has been doing this technique lately. It's such a fun look! My favourite part is the blue pieces. I intended them to be blue sky, but I think that they really look like water, and that turns my tulips into waterlilies!

Wow, Ardyth. A great case of her very cool card. I love this die and how you made the colors soooo detailed and pretty. Fabulous case of Cathy's card. Hugz

Ardyth...It's funny that you chose this card to CASE because you were the inspiration for the card that I made! Love, love how colorful this is...and now you have inspired me again! Thank you so much for helping me celebrate this day!

I am so amazed that you colored each individual negative piece. My head started hurting just reading your description. This is a fantastic card and full of color like no one can do like you.

The first thing I thought when I seen all the blooms on the water was a rainbow of lilies so when I read it was a tulip die, I had to go look a couple of times to get that haha. ( and I tend to have a really big radar for tulips) this is so fun, I love how the white frames each detail.

Really awesome design and technique blended together into an "Optical Poptitude". This would make the most glorious quilt. Tulips and waterlilies=Twatterpillies?
