What a week. I haven't been upstairs since Tuesday except very briefly to make this for one of the girls in work whose beloved dog died unexpectedly. I stamped the image on watercolour paper, used distress inks for the rainbow and watercolours for the bridge, background greenery and water. Sponged a bit of blue at the top, then green and some vintage photo along the rest, sponging the green right into the bushes. I used gel pens on the little flowers and dragonflies, and left the dog and cat uncoloured. Cut the sentiment in a banner shape and doodled the edge. Looked through my stash. I need a larger brick wall stencil, I only have the TH one, so I gave up on my idea of a brick wall background and went with a Brushos and bubble-wrap piece from my background. I ended up with nearly a dozen of them after a recent TLC. Edged it with a black Sharpie, added a paw button to the sentiment and finished it off with some silver Stickles.

This is so pretty! I love the colorful background! I have this image and think it is so beautiful but I struggle every time I color it. I like how you left some of the image uncolored. Artsy and meaningful!
