Today's Free for All Challenge was perfect to combine with our first VSN challenge of the day. Lisa has challenged us to use a classic rose on our cards today and I've combined with Dawn's challenge of using music for a "Yellow Rose of Texas" card. Even though I'm in Massachusetts and this card is going to Virginia via Rhode Island. My friend asked me for a birthday card for her aunt, who always loves to receive my cards. I thought this challenge would be perfect for her, so I found a rose digi that I've never used and colored them in her favorite color. But then I had to add her July birthstone, rubies. Thanks for the inspiration, ladies, and happy VSN!

Beautiful! I used to work at a Tex-Mex restaurant called Galveston's and wearing a yellow rose in our hair was part of the required uniform. Fond memories (plus my mom grew up in El Paso). Great job on combining challenges, I love the musical background, and I'm sure your friend's aunt will love this!

Now I can hear "Yellow rose of Texas" in my head! This combination of musical notes, yellow roses and 'ruby' gems makes a unique card for your friend's Aunt.
