I've been wanting to make a card for the Try a New Technique Challenge when I saw that you had to get out your fruit and veggies and stamp with them. I had also watched a YouTube video months ago using fruit and veggies on a Gelli Plate and wanted to try that too.....so that's what I did.
After plonking and rolling several paints on my Gelli Plate, I stamped with my now mouldy lemon....the rest had gone into my G&T. I'd kept the other half for this challenge and it needed to be done before it totally walked out of my craft room. The courgette (or zucchini to some of you) was also about to walk out of my fridge. Does anyone else buy fruit and veggies and forget about them? I know I do...a lot. I'm such a waster but now I can stamp with them LOL.
I rolled the courgette but it didn't do much or even when stamping so I won't use that veggie again LOL, but I liked the lemon and made about 6 panels in all different colours. This one isn't you G&T lemon type and the blue is sort of a mauve grey....I liked it.
Sentiment die cut and wink of stella added. Bling also and done.
Gosh I like cards that are quick and easy using my stash and when my mojo brain has gone to sleep.
TFL. Happy day

Your word 'plonk' always makes me giggle..is that an AU word or a Jayne word? And I've thrown out a lot of fruits and veggies, so shameful. I'm alone and just don't eat them fast enough. I need to try this on my gel plate. Wonderful card, colors are great.

Great plonking! You need to be drinking more g & t and your lemons won't get mouldy! LOL At first, I thought you wrote that you rolled a cigarette on your gelli plate! LOL
