I made it! Drawing is not my thing. There is a reason why I stamp. Here's my story: When I think of pen pals, I think of postcards though one should really write a whole letter. When I was a teen, my aunt and uncle lived in Asia and the front of this postcard is tribute to that. There was no "zoom" or "facetime" and phone calls were costly and the connections poor so we wrote lots of letters. The mail was slow so we always paid extra to send "par avion". The "pen" portion of my postcard is the red/blue edging, the dividing line and the greeting. Envelope embellished with typewriter. Hope this gets me into the party. Enjoy!

I definitely remember the special Par Avion envelopes and STILL have a few which I found tucked into memorabilia from when I lived in Japan back in the 60's . . . Great recreation of an age gone by.
