I suspect these should have been rated 1 in difficulty but my first attempt at blending two inks for the sky went for recycling!
This layout I saw many years ago in a children's book and I return to it every now and again when I can think of a variation on it. I like the softness the inked sky gives it and that it's a one layer, unfussy card. Which is normally not what I like at Christmas!
I created a card mask for the snowman and then sponged two shades of blue DI for the sky. I splattered the left one with water and added white pen snow to the right one.
I used two different textured cards - I think the hammered (left) one worked better. Just as well, I am nearly out of the right one!
I used black Stickles to make the eyes and mouths and drew on the arm with a brown marker. I snipped tiny gold triangles for the roses and punched glittery stars for the skies.
