I am entering this card is the SCS Misti challenge for good reason. Yes, there is a lot of pink on it, but mainly because I used a wood-mounted stamp for this card (I rarely use them now that I own a Misti) and me-oh-my! I had to stamp it three times - on THREE pieces of paper until I got a good image. Sheesh!
This year I'm continuing my Travel the World card series that I began last year. There are 195 countries in the world. I randomly select one each week and virtually travel there. I share tidbits of information about the week's country on my blog and choose one fact about the country as inspiration for that week's card.
This card is inspired by Namibia where about 90% of South African flamingos spend the winter.
Please visit my blog for more photos/information about both Namibia and my card...
Thanks for the interesting geography lesson. I use wood stamps in my Misti with a stamp positioner in the corner, so I can keep placing the stamp back in the same place for stamping again. I have an old one that is shaped like the Creative Corners, so it works well. Love your flamingo! Fun card.
