So totally in love with the new watercolor challenge. I ended up with many of the issues Lydia said to avoid in the video, but end the end, I still loved my fairy so here she sits on top of some lovely Amazon cardboard with the left over pieces from my inspiration card this weekend. A totally chunky card, but so fun to hold and look at.
Her face has mint green, red and yellow, and I added touches of red to her dress. Is green unexpected on a face? LOL.
Can't wait until next week!!!!! I love this challenge.

Your fairy is angelic looking with your watercoloring. Great job. I don't know anyone else who can make cardboard look great> Glad you joined the challenge. Hugs.

what a fun coloring of your sweet Fairy!! Fairies have no limits on colors and you tapped into this one's FUN SPIRIT : ) I will have to look at the 'inspiration challenge card' to see more of that cardboard bg, I agree you are the best at that medium, wow! love the seam binding and I bet it is even more cool IRL! TFS and enjoy your day, Teresa

This is a wonderful Birthday fairy. Green is only expected on faces if green popcicles are involved! Then it's unavoidable for my grand kids at least. This angelic expression is what I get when I ask about it on their clothes. Really a sweet card and I agree with others, that cardboard is awesome. I don't know if I could cover it up!

I stopped in because I know your name and have always been impressed with your work, but WOW, this just stopped me in my tracks! I too love to take materials and use them in unexpected ways, but to use Amazon cardboard and to create this stunner just blows me away. Your focal image has such gorgeous shading and coloring, and I love the embossed gold touches in an under layer. That big, glorious ribbon bow is wonderful. I think that this is one of your best pieces, and THAT is really saying something, as I am a big admirer of your work. Favorited, I want to be able to look at this again and again. You are SO talented, your artistry just shines in everything but especially this one. I LOVE IT!!!
