WCW003 = adding unexpected color to focal point. (I added it other places too.)
Our gorgeous weather this AM provided me with the opportunity to paint like I really like to do...en plein air. Our petunia borders are flourishing. So I set my stool outside and had pad in hand. I lightly sketched with a pencil to give a loose plan.....you can see some of the marks through the washes....personally, these don't bother me.

Wonderful pops of color and the card is beautiful. I like those marks showing...adds so much interest. Love the loose watercoloring and glad you could do it outside.

Beautiful Petunias, Lovely colors they look so realistic love it too to be able to paint outside en plein air, it's a big mess at home because my husband is working in the bathroom, he's building a walk-in shower (Italian shower) so working outside is a good idea!!

Gorgeous free hand sketching and watercoloring. The depth of colors especially the purple and green are so pretty. Sounds like a wonderful morning...painting outside!
