I missed yesterday's Technique Challenge, so I wanted to combine it with today's Color Challenge. Stef is our hostess and she chose some fun colors that were a bit of a challenge for my lettuce card, but I made it work. I think this is the third time I've made this "Lettuce Celebrate" card. I can't help it. It's one of my favorite puns. That's why vegetable stamping had to involve lettuce. Thanks for this fun technique challenge, Snietje! I've always wanted to try it! And the Distress Oxides worked so well with it. I chose Mustard Seed for dessert for the color challenge--my favorite yellow that I reach for all the time. First I stamped the yellow lettuce, then I stamped over it with green lettuce. Printed, cut, and colored the lettuce digi --gave him some red cheeks. Then I found the blue for the sentiment strips. I found that my favorite placement of the lettuce involved it hanging off the card, so now this will go in a square envelope.
I'm off to go work at the town election today. First time working out in public since the pandemic. I don't know how many people are actually going to come vote, but I should have plenty of time to browse these fun galleries. See you there!

I love silly puns too and this is a really fun one! Your lettuce background turned out wonderfully Jen, along with that cute head of lettuce with rosy cheeks ha ha! You did great with both challenges!
