I used the wet-into-wet watercolour technique for the background first using an SU 3D embossing folder Tufted. I did each triangle separately and it did take some time.
I added the liquid pearls and set it aside to dry.
I printed a Power Poppy image and then using my light tablet, traced the image onto the watercolour paper with the distress markers. I then dragged the colour from the outline into the body of the image with a very wet #2 round brush. I did scribble some of the distress marker onto the tile to add extra colour in the darker areas.
Then it was just a matter of putting it all together.
I know you are all saying ..."but magnolias aren't yellow" ... well this one is a very exotic tropical magnolia "Margareta Magnolia Exotica Tropicana" ...and that's all folks.
Thanks for looking
Cheers Marg

Amazing background! Creative idea for the layout. Love the beautiful flowers. Excellent pearls drops, so perfect. I like the oval with the ribbon through it. Great card! Thanks for creating with the Sketch Challenge.
