This card is for the Teapot Party and for Sandy, a friend of Shelly's who is in need of some encouragement and hugs. Sandy likes flowers and also pink and purples.
It is also for the sketch challenge.
When I saw the challenge I knew that I wanted to join in and chose one of my favourite flowers to stamp. I'm also a fan of pinks and purples and when I lived in the UK hydrangeas would bloom in vibrant purples and blues, another favourite colour of mine.
After stamping, I simply used my watercolour brush and picked up ink off my lids.
I had recently been to a craft group and we created two cards using a similar design so I decided to use the same design for Sandy's card, which just happened to be similar to today's Sketch challenge. Win-win.
Circle die cut and the top panel popped up. Sentiment die cut and wink of Stella added..it wouldn't be me if I hadn't added some sparkle.
I did want to add some ribbon but it just wouldn't work so I chose to add liquid pearls on the flowers instead. Typical of me I had finished the first flower when I went to pick up my second bottle of liquid pearls and dropped it. It casually rolled onto my flowers I had just âeoepearledâe . I must be one of the clumsiest and messiest crafters out there. Fortunately my TH pokey tool quickly mopped the blobs up and I started again. I did add a few more as I couldn't decided between flicking ink onto the flowers or bling...the liquid pearls won.
This card will wing its way across the oceans to Sandy with hugs, hope and strength.
TFL. Happy day

Gorgeous card and beautiful hydrangeas...which happen to be one of my favorite flowers...we have several bushes of them. Love the pretty colors and pearl centers! Thanks so much for joining the sketch challenge today, Jayne!
