It's time for a new Color Challenge! Karen is hosting this week and has chosen Mango Melody, Poppy Parade and Old Olive, with a dessert option to make a sentiment the focal point of your card.
I used a stamp set that I bought just because of the large sentiments but they never seemed to work for my needs. Plus the images were definitely not my style. However, I decided to give them a play this week because I really do like the sentiments and fonts.
This is a very simple, CAS card with all the stamping surrounding the sentiment. Initially I forgot to add Old Olive, so the leaves were stamped separately, trimmed off and adhered along the edges. After completing it I will definitely send it to one of my friends back in Oregon. As always, I have a few more details on my blog.
Thanks for looking and I hope you'll join us this week for the Color Challenge!

Perfection, Stef! I love this big, bold greeting and the pretty flowers stamped all around it. Very clever with the leaves, an unintended embellishment! The twine is perfect for "tying" in the black and white colors of the main panel!

this is really pretty Stef- I always like the stamp sets you get from SSS- the bold sentiment and tropical looking flowers make for a great card. Your friend will love this.

Your clean and simple card is very eye catching with that big bold sentiment. I like how you've framed it with those lovely flowers and scalloped border. Looks fantastic!
