Hi and TFL! I am starting my 'summer girl' cards for my friends and this one was designed around a couple of challenges.
Congrats to Chris aka: fargets for being the Featured Stamper the week of 5/24/20. VERY FUN GALLERY!
here is her card that inspired me, it's super cute!! With Beauty Flower Girl by fargets at Splitcoaststampers
My inspiration from Chris was to make a large Girl image the focus and use the bold RED flowers like she colored on her girl image. Bonus I was able to find a Julie girl image with a large bow around her waist that reminded me of Chris's image, too.
I used a stamp with a large rose to make the dress paper so I could color my flowers the same bold red. I planned on a black bow but went with CCake, but I did use black on her headband.
This is my first use of Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock. WOW is it heavy duty! I normally use S U Thick, but this is even more sturdy and a touch more white. love it!
I stamped 'Camille' on the Bazzill paper, then masked the skirt before adding the sand and water with blending brushes.
Next I punched the scallop paper edge and tore the bottom 'sandy' section.
stamped little 2 3/8" Finnabair stamp several times on the aged dictionary page to make the dress paper and then stamped Camille's dress portion onto it and fussy cut it out. snail adhesive'd the dress down.
printed sentiment from pc on S U Naturals white paper that is spritzed with Vegas Gold shimmer paint from fantastix , punched with S U Word window and popped up on dimensionals.
The Sketch Challenge SC790 showed a full heart shape on the right side, but I covered some of my 'sandy heart' with Camille's skirt. still enough showing to tell it's a heart and 'loving the beach' theme.
This is a tall card: 9 1/4" high, mail in a business envelope.
Inside it says 'if a heart washes up on the sand, claim it for yourself'
ENJOY Summer! and take good care, Teresa

Absolutely wonderful case of Chris's sweet card! Love the dress and how you did the edges starting with scallops and then the sandy section. When I was in Maui once, I found a piece of white coral that was a heart shape. I brought it home with me!
