I think this will be my son's birthday card later in June. He was supposed to be a July 4th baby but he was anxious.
I used several products for the shaving foam with Brushos challenge, including Brushos, Ken Oliver's Color Burst and some Cosmic Shimmer powders. I'm not 100% certain what is on these two backgrounds, definitely not the Cosmic Shimmer. This was somewhat challenging because a lot of shaving cream stuck to the cardstock and I was nervous about scraping it off for fear of smearing. I eventually had to and yes, I did smear quite a few. I probably made about 20 backgrounds, just messing around. I used one for the background and cut the triangles out of another. I'm also submitting this for the CAS-Summer Blues, even though it's not all blue and not sure how CAS it is. But it was easy after making the backgrounds. No stamping!!!! And I figure, since it's going to be a June birthday card, it's all about summer. I remember it was really nice to have a baby in the summer, able to take walks and be outside.

This is just stunning Jean and a true work of art. I just love how you used the triangle and sentiment dies on this wonderful shaving cream background. Wow! ~Karen.

Your background turned out so very nice! Love the great shapes too. Great card for your son! Love the way you describe that your son was anxious to get here : )

The thing is, it's more a distress type background so I don't think smearing matters. Except I admit I didn't like the look on mine when I used too much powder and didn't let the granules activate enough. I don't think about more of the foam sticking to the card, I felt as if I always had to wipe quite a bit off, but I haven't done it for some time. I think this is gorgeous. Full of texture and colour. Wish it was replicable!
