Love the stab stitch challenge. I had my brother-in-law's birthday in mind as I made this journal. Sometimes you just want a special place to put pen to paper and capture thoughts. I spritzed the chipboard with the 2 mists to create a firefly effect and then adhered the black die cuts for a silhouette of a summer sky. The amber book binding thread gives a subtle contrast to the monotone cover. The pages inside were a lucky find-some Strathmore stationery in "granite" in a bottom desk drawer, back from the days when we used typewriters for formal correspondence. Perfect for a fine journal.

This challenge must have been right up your street as you make such wonderful albums/journals. This is beautiful...we don't have fireflies here but have seen them in Greece, and they were the first thing I thought of when I saw this. Nice find of the paper to use inside too.

How perfect is this!!! I didnt know you made journals regularly. This is kind of mysterious, very thought provoking, love the black on black. I hope we see fireflies here this year, they didnt appear much last year.
