I used her layout with an image on the circle and a fun BG. Also, her pup is relaxing.
This actually came together relatively quickly b/c I had most of the pieces already done. I had seen Julie's magnificent card here: Flowers in a Bottle IC755 by justwritedesigns at Splitcoaststampers
And, lo and behold I had a white piece with grey wood stamping on it in my stash. So, I blended some color onto it. One of her tricks was to add white paint. I didn't feel like running all of the way to the basement to get acrylics so I used what I had in my craft room which was the Dylusions spray. I sprayed it into a palette and used my paint brush to paint over the BG. It is fairly translucent so I did it several times. I added splatters with it, too, but they faded way back.
This will be going out to my son's favorite teacher this past year.

Beautiful, peaceful card Michelle. I really love how you added color to your woodgrain background and how that highlights your images. The texture behind the palm trees is really fabulous too! ~Karen.

Pretty wood background and soft colors, Michelle. Super great case. This card makes me feel calmer! Hugz
