Monday's CAS challenge was to paint. I thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and ended up having a wonderful painting session with my daughter Sara. We started painting little pieces to die cut butterflies out of, but then we moved to abstract painting and then I ended with this painting. I started off just doing wavy bands of color (inspired by the Just Us Girls challenge), but I wasn't loving it. So I starting finger-painting some "flowers" in purples and gold/white. When I was looking for a sentiment to stamp, this one spoke to me. I don't think the painting necessarily is CAS, but it was fast and easy and the challenge really did inspire me to do some painting which I don't do very often.

Wow! This is just glorious! I would absolutely love to have this painting hanging in my house! I am really impressed with what you created and I love your sentiment too! ~Karen.

Holy cow! This painting is gorgeous! I think it is CAS perfection!! I just can't get enough of that orange sky. I love to finger paint clouds, but now I'm going to have to try finger painting flowers!

This is a beautiful painting, Donna. There is so much movement in the sky and the flowers are abstract and lovely. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls. Bobby
