This page is for one of the VSBN challenges and continuation of our day in Santa Cruz de La Palma in the Canary Islands in 2017. Yes I took a lot of photos and still more pages to come LOL.
Two stencils were used on the CS. One was to try and create a yellow brick road. I had taken inspiration from a panel that One4Joy (Susan) had sent me and her brick road panel is awesome but I didn't want to use it on this page and cover it up, so I tried to make my own. I realised that I need a proper brick road stencil and the TCW one I used was the closest I had. I simply pushed gesso through the stencil and then dabbed on yellow paint. It looks more like the dog's brekkie and dinosaur prints LOL and in hindsight I should have used my TH brick wall stencil. Oh well, another lesson learnt LOL.
A music stencil was also used in blue but didn't come out that well and most of it is covered up so nothing lost.
As part of the challenge theme is the Wizard of Oz I decided to get out my own Dorothy and Toto.....I just love TH's paper dolls and have been using them a lot on my pages. The ballerina girl seemed just right, not only to cover up all the people in my photo (I'm the one with the hat drinking coffee LOL), but as we were listening to some beautiful music that day, she seemed perfect to be twirling in my scene. The street with the paved brick road was just behind the cafe and so beautiful and my little girl is sitting there with her flowers as there were lots on most of the balconies in La Palma. The top right photo was a tiled mosaic on one of the walls. I decided to colour all the girls' shoes in red...after all the theme is Wizard of Oz.
Nothing fancy but I enjoyed creating this.
TFL. Happy day

How fabulous, Jayne, I love your yellow brick road! Can't tell if that is your own added fabric of the little girl's dress or a picture. Looks great! This is so fun to look at!
