This is for Ky's mixed media challenge - to finish a project using stencils. This has been a work in progress for several weeks, but thanks to Ky's challenge, it has an "end date".
I hate wasting paint as much as I hate cleaning stencils, so I always have a few journal pages on the go to accommodate all the left over paints, modelling paste and liquid inks.
Before I clean a stencil, I use it on these pages. My early efforts were all over the place like dogs breakfast, but I have learnt to keep the colours in happy, compatible groups - hence I have several pages on the go.
To finish this off, I added the long leafy stencil and touched up the colour with a Copic marker.
Thank you for looking and I hope you have a happy weekend.

I don't know about you but sometime the random art from those left over paint pieces is my favorite even more so than what I was purposefully creating. I love how this looks. I especially love the splatters of white.
