I know I just said that one layer cards aren't me, but I accidentally made a second one. Every morning I make my "real" card and then I recycle a card. I like to make these recycled cards to make bundles of cards to give to my friends and family as gifts. When I was looking for cards to use for yesterday's card, I came across this really lovely Valentine's Day card. I should've taken a before photo. My version is way better. I really loved the pretty embossed flowers, so I die cut them with a stitched square die. Then I decided to inlay that stiched square inside white paper. Two pieces but still only one layer! Well, one layer glued onto the card base. I think it counts. I just ordered the Ken Oliver Stick It adhesive, so it's opened up a whole new world to me as far as actually using word die cuts. So much cleaner and neater than gluing. I also just recently bought this "you" die from Catherine Pooler. The top layer is cut out of another part of the valentine that had small embossed hearts on it. It feels weird recycling a Happy Valentine's Day card to a sympathy card, but I think it makes a really nice sympathy card.

Your recycled card is gorgeous, Jen! Love how you inlaid the stitched square into the base to make it one layer...very clever and creative! Thanks so much for playing along with the one layer challenge...again!
