BFF's hubby just celebrated his 70th and there's no typical 'celebrating' this milestone due to the shelter in place. So I made a 70-candle accordion card.
I'm also posting a diagram illustrating the accordion card base.
I made the finished front panels separate using glossy black CS: ran a black marker around all edges of the glossy black panels to cover the white edges. Candles were made from Washi tape (this went incredibly fast)!
The candle flames were made from a leaf punch out of my stash.
The "twinkling" stars across all middle panels came out of a 'star swoosh' die from my stash and gold CS.
Unplanned 'bonus': I accidentally adhered the "happy Birthday" to the LAST panel... found another BD die and put that die cut on the proper panel... making it an 'ambidextrous' card.
I used a wrapping paper for the front's greeting... used a 2 way adhesive to adhere the wrapping paper to black CS for stabilization then die cut it... worked beautifully.
