It's time for a new Color Challenge! Chris is hosting and has chosen the lovely combo of Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana with a dessert option to use a circle. I've actually made two cards for this challenge so I hope you'll check out the other one.
For this card I used leaf stencils and Distress Oxide Inks in colors similar to the challenge to create a leaf border on a Shaded Spruce panel. Once done it was splattered with white gouache and shimmer spray, then the die cut leaves and sentiment were added. More details on my blog here.
Thanks for looking and I hope you'll join us for the Color Challenge this week!

Love the stenciling on this beauty! I still have lots of these leaves and colors out on my desk so now you've given me new ideas to try before I clean up...

I love the combination of the darker leaves in the background and the bright white leaves in the foreground. Somehow this seems perfect for a sympathy card--out of darkness, into light. Lovely!
