This background was an experiment using a kids's art toy called Bendaroos, which are colored yarn pieces dipped in wax. I made a butterfly shape and ironed it onto a color diffusing paper. Then I added the Brusho and ironed out the wax. Used an EF, hit the tops of that with a dried out StazOn pad. Stamped the village on a random wrinkle free distress scrap and cut out. I used a Xyron to attach them. Stamped the sun onto a round ink swiped, glossy sticker. This was really fun as a tip of the hat to artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

What a fabulous combination of mediums on this salute to Hundertwasser! I think I remember those wax sticks....what a clever idea to use them on this piece. The bright colors and the sun give this such a positive vibe. Thanks for playing along!

Your little town is wonderful - reminds me of a long-ago childhood book with drawings set probably in Germany, I think. The sun and fun trees are great takes on the inspiration.

Creative as always, Lori. Don't you wonder why he changed his name to include the word 'reich'? After WWII? Hmmmm. But I love his art. Your collage is wonderful.
