I have never done the Shutter gate fold and I had a piece of foiled card stock and the left over foil sitting on my desk, sooooooâe¦.I pulled out the oxide inks and sponged some on the foiled card stock and another white cardstock strip. Then I sprayed glue on the colorful new cardstock and attached the foil "negative". I cut the circle from the interior piece and used it, along with some ribbon, to decorate the belly band.
I learned a new fold, used up some scraps, and made a fun card for Mom's day. Thanks for the fun Mix-ability challenge.

Oh, fantastic! This is a fun fold I like but haven't made in years. Your hearts are amazing - the ones on the front, they almost look as if they were velvet or flocking. The foiing looks super with the bright sponging. And your use of the negative piece ion the inside and belly band is lovely. I like the ribbon on the band, too.

I just made this fold the other day, but I didn't have two mediums on it so I made a different card for the challenge. I love the hearts and all the colors on your card. The shiny foil makes a wonderful inside piece and the belly band really stands out with it up front! Beautiful!
