I made this card for today's Alphabet challenge. Ann is our hostess and the letter this week is the letter F. The F's in my card are for the Sunny Studio Frilly Frames die I used, and for the frame I made using a separate die.
Given our current circumstances, I am predicting a baby boom in a few months- fun! So, I thought I would use this wonderful Hero Arts stamp and die elephant congrats set that Jan (aka Precious Kitty) gifted to me a few months ago (thank you Jan!). The elephant is stamped and die cut, then a piece of fun foam is also die cut using the elephant die and glued in place behind the stamped elephant image.
Die cut the frilly frame using the outer cutting die in the Sunny Studio Frilly Frames stripes die. Then cut the inner square out using a Gina Marie Designs peek-a-boo square die. I was so pleased that the scallops were the same size even though I used to different company dies.
Die cut the congrats die twice and glued them together for some added stability. Colored the sentiment using 3 copic markers for a gradient look. I got a little carried away with the darkest color because it now has a neon look to it that I was not going for so lesson learned.
Stamped a sentiment from this same Hero Arts set and added some silver glitter hearts for a finishing touch.
Thank you Ann for the great challenge today and thank you for looking! ~Karen.

What a sweet card. The scallops are the perfect touch and you did get lucky that they matched so well. Love the gingham elephant. I think you're smart to get ready for the upcoming baby boom.

This baby card is utterly adorable. I had to giggle about a projected baby boom as a result of us all being at home. I've thought about that too!!! Love the scallops, and that sweet gingham ellie! I'm going to check out Sunny Studios too.

What a sweet baby card, Karen! I like your cute elephant, such fun. I really like how you colored the word die cut, I don't think it looks neon, it looks great!
