I ran across this video the other day while trying to learn more about mixed media techniques:
I had to try the octopus - so cool. I know my next one will be better.
Sponged distress oxides and non-oxides on the bg, stenciled i some more colors, then water distressed and sponged on some more. The layered in the sponged and sprayed die cuts and seashell.
The octopus was so fun to make. I have to tell you a funny story. I told hubby I didn't have any meat thawed out, and he told me to just eat what I wanted and he would eat something later. Then I remembered I had some sausage and made some sausage and peppers. He came in the kitchen and asked what I had in the oven. I told him I had some octopus. I then pulled out this sculpture - wow the look on his face was so fun!

Gosh....your octopus looks so real with the dimensional suction detail. Love the green, semi-murky underwater bg. Terrific card, Nancy! Loved your DH story too.
