never tried inking on black so was different, stamped 2 stems and 2 flowers in white then colored in white as saw video long time ago do this then color over white with color but tried a sample piece and color was not great so colored in white for flowers several times after letting each layer dry, the leaves did okay and colored them in with green marker. Embossed the top and bottom with eb folder, stenciled in some butterflies here and there, put glue in center of flowers and poured on tine beads, went over flowers with perfect pearls for shine, added two ribbons, made stamped and heat embossed the sentiment glad got done---LOL---as usual looks pretty IRL

This is so interesting, DonnaJeanne! I love the ghost flowers with the beaded centers. The background with the checkerboard edges makes great depth. Your choice of the sentiment is lovely. Thanks for bringing your collage to the Tea Party Swap.

Everything about this is fabulous DonnaJeanne. I love the depth of white you achieved (thanks for the drying tip). Embossing the black areas adds so much interest and texture. Love this!!

I think your coloring of the flowers looks great...very pretty against the dark embossed bg. Those tiny beads are perfect for the centers (I always have problems with those getting all over my craft desk...it's usually a nightmare!). Love that ee cummings quote ;)

These are beautiful and ethereal - love just the hint of color from the beaded centers and leaves. The partial basket weave embossing frames your scene quite nicely.

I think the white flowers on the black look just lovely. I remember finding myself that there was a definite knack to getting vivid colour with the black magic technique - but I can't remember what it was. You still managed a hint of green on the leaves, I see - and the silver microbead centres look just super. The texture from the embossing is fab.
