I made this card today as part of my distance learning with 2nd and 3rd grade students that I help to support. I miss them terribly and only get to see some of them a couple times of week at Zoom meetings.
Third grade students are working with a theme of inventors and inventing and had an article on inventing with bubble wrap. Second grade students are working on video sharing with their classmates and teachers. Kids are so tech savvy these days, but I think this is really addressing their social-emotional needs more.
So, Mrs. Storie (that's me) tried to learn along with them this week. I made my first Loom video to share with 2nd grade. I also shared the video with 3rd grade to share another used for bubble wrap. I know I didn't invent this technique, but I certainly hadn't tried it.
I love the background and it was super easy as I had a large piece of adhesive backed bubble wrap. I stuck it right to an acrylic block, inked up the bubbles and laid my card front right on top. Voila, a background!
Thanks for looking!

This is so fun and really pretty too. Your bubble wrap background looks fabulous (I thought this was a stamp) and what a wonderful sentiment this is with gorgeous sponging! ~Karen.
