I fell in love with Sabrina's card for the Stencil challenge a couple weeks ago and have been practicing her baby wipes technique. Finally got one I liked. So this card is dedicated to Sabrina not only for her inspirational card but also because she is one of the many bright lights I have met here at SCS. She has been so helpful and suggested so many tips and improvements to my cards. She is much appreciated. Here's a link to Sabrina's wonderful card: MMTPT611 Colour Will Come Back by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers
When my husband was going through chemo a few years back (he is cancer-free now, thankfully), the nurses REALLY stressed hand washing for the full 20 seconds and suggested singing Happy Birthday or Mary Had A Little Lamb. I didn't really like either of those so I just counted. But with COVID hand washing on everyone's radar, I recently read an article where the author was singing "This Little Light of Mine" instead. I love this and have adopted it for my personal regimen. I can't sing a lick, but when I'm in the bathroom alone I channel my inner Ella Fitzgerald and just jazz this song up. It always leaves me with a smile on face and brightens me up just a bit. So I thought that would be the perfect sentiment for this card. The sentiment is computer generated using Bromello font.
I don't know if this card qualifies for the challenge since I didn't use bleach, but it is a bleaching technique so I at least achieved the spirit of the challenge.
Hope you all have a beautiful day filled with love and sunshine and that you will let your inner Ella out too. TFL

Oh wow Debbie your card is beautiful, I love the soft glow and how the shades of colour bounce off each other and I loved reading your write-up too. Sabrina is a mega shining light, just typing her name makes my heart smile.

Wow Debbie, this is such a magnificent card and a real tribute to Sabrina's glorious card she made the other day (that I am still thinking about too). I just adore this sweet little angel that you have colored and sparkled up to the 9's my friend. She is so darned cute and she looks like she is directing the choir in the singing of this fabulous song. Your flowers are the perfect size and color for this card and they look like they are waving to the song too. Fun! I am so pleased to read that your husband got through chemo and is healthy again- yay! I have to say, it is the colors of your card that made me gasp Debbie- they are just gorgeous! I am thrilled you are playing in the challenges so we are seeing more of your gorgeous artwork too. Hugs! ~Karen.

What a gorgeous card and the stencil BG with the baby wipe technique is something stunning (and I have to try that). Everything about this card is perfect. Love your description about the song and thank you for mentioning the font. Just went and downloaded it! Just pinned this gem...

Blushing here, thanks for the kind words. You certainly did end up with a great sun ray effect - I'm glad you finally got the effect you wanted. I love those white flowers - they remind me of Japanese Anemones. Mine are in a dry corner of the garden and took years to flower.
I'm envious that you can print on card, our printer doesn't take anything heavy enough to stand up to much techniques, though I do have a stash of 90lb watercolour I bought in France.
Gosh, I'm very prosaic. I just count when I'm washing my hands .
