For this week's WTUI challenge, which you can find HERE.
The washi tape was a Christmas gift from someone who knows I love seahorses, and because it was hiding right under my nose I had to turn the room upside-down to find it, sigh...
I made a bubble wrap background for the mermaid, who was a birthday gift from DonnaJeanne. The first one was too vivid, I had to stamp it off again to get this softer one. I used double matting for the frame. I added an extra bit of washi tape with two more seahorses above the strip I used a border along the bottom. The mermaid was stamped with Versafine Black, coloured with Polychromos pencils and fussy-cut. Glossy Accents on her shell bikini top, SN clear glitter pen on her tail. I gave her a half pearl to hold, and added the sentiment.
(The washi tape is Alexandra Renke)

The soft bubble wrap background was perfect for that sweetly colored mermaid and washi tape seahorses, Sabrina! The double frame looks fabulous around your lovely underwater scene!

oooh, i love Alexandra Renke tapes...hey, how was your birthday? Your card is so fun, I like seahorses too. I like a lot of stuff, maybe i'm not discriminating enough. The bubble background works great with that lovely mermaid. Nice staging too. I need to find out how some stage their cards with cool backgrounds. I don't do any kind of photo shop, that is not up my alley.

You know how I love a good bg...this is a great bg....that large bubble wrap design is so cool and then the addition of the seahorse washi in a subtle way is fabulous! Also that single pearl is perfect for your sweet mermaid.

Pretty card Sabrina with the double framing. I wouldn't have known there was washi tape on it if I hadn't read your description...it blended in so well with your background! The finishing touch...a pearl!

Gorgeous card and staging, Sabrina. The bubble wrap print looks like floating shells, the seahorse tape blends in seamlessly to create a beautiful ocean for your pretty mermaid.
