For this week's WTUI challenge, which you can find HERE.
The link to the tutorial is in the challenge post. I usually use vintage colours, but went more upbeat with this one, thinking I'd use an oriental image. I used Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet on the tape. But instead of going oriental, I ended up using a bunch of fussy-cut flowers because the background was my holding pen as I cut them, and I thought they looked good on it. They were stamped on watercolour and coloured with various watercolours - mostly Prima Confections Tropical, but some W&N AWC as well. I arranged them carefully and was so glad to have some Press'n Seal to keep my arrangement intact while I added glue to the back, and was then able to press it back onto the base. I edged the base with Stickles, added Enamel Accents round the flower arrangement, and used Stickles and Liquid Pearls on the flower centres and stamens. The sentiment is cut from foam as well as black card, to give better dimension. The butterflies were in a dish on my desk, so I added them too.

I couldn't see the background until I opened this up, that was a nice surprise. I'd forgotten about that technique. Beautiful combo of elements. Holding pen...that made me chuckle. Is that what it is when you've created part of a card, you set it aside to create the next part and then you can't find the first part because it got buried??? I guess I need a holding pen.
