Did you say Pirate? I can't think of a pirate without thinking of Captain Jack. Now these are some odd versions of him I know, but the one inside is the oddest (made him from torn paper - he is crazy but I am thinking Teri might get a kick out of him so I threw him in too).
Also you are probably wondering why Jack (or this poor version of him) would be in a Bible. I focused on this POTC quote of his, "All the treasure is not silver and gold, Mate." The real treasure is a solid relationship with God. That's my story and I am sticking to it. I linked it to Psalms 149 and 150 which have nothing to do with Pirates but do have to do with celebration and celebrating life which I think Captain Jack was good at.
My card Jack is a digi Octopode image circa 2013ish - I thought I had lost him when I lost my computer but I found the thumb drive he was on yesterday! She does still have her etsy shop open though and I was about to buy him again.
The card is off to Teri - hope it brings her a smile.
Only one day late this week friends! Yay!!! Hugz

The eyes got me on both your images and the quote is so true. I read some studies that showed the very poor were overall more happy than the very rich . . . Probably because they have figured out that the greater treasure is family, friends, God and togetherness.

Who would have thought....Capt Jack on a Bible page....only you could imagine this! Your drawing is right on....it's amazing...And I'm glad you located the digi pirate stamp..what a cool card!
Love both images. Yes, I a Jack Sparrow fan, too! Great reminder in here too, that not all treasure is silver and gold.
Great pirate inspired lesson! Have a great week, Nancy!
Wow! Your Jack on your BAJ is amazing! He is such a fun character! My son and I watched all three Pirate movies the first week he was home. Fun memory. For your card, It makes me happy that you found your image on a thumb drive! Great message too. It's so easy to get caught up with what's important to "make it" in this world and forget what is truly important.

Wonderful! You really captured the right spirit. I can hear his voice saying those words. And as cool as the image is, I really like that dirtyish panel in the BG with your "rope" detail.

You're doing such a fab job with your BAJ pages to match your cards, Nancy. Great work. I like the vintage look the dark background gives your digi pirate.

I like both of your pirates! I love Cap'n Jack Sparrow. So eccentric and so fun! He actually reminds me of one of my uncles. Thanks so much for coming to the Teaparty and sending this card to Teri.

Your drawing and colouring is sensational Nancy - how perfect that it is permanently in you Bible Journal. WOW!!! Your card is equally fabulous. Thanks for the reminder of "Octopode" I had completely forgotten about them. I can't stay and chat, I have to scroll back up the screen and oohhhh and aahhhh over these two creations for a little bit longer.
